About Coronado Veterinary Hospital
Why do we practice medicine? Here at Coronado Veterinary Hospital not only do we have a love for animals, but we want to see them live longer, better lives. Our ‘why’ consists of more good days together with our furry family members. We are now open 7 days a week with some extended hours during the week in order to better serve you and our community. We are happy to have the opportunity to not only provide emergency care should you need it, but to also be able to offer preventative wellness care for your pets. We know how quickly they become a part of our families and because of that; we want them to be with you for as long as possible.
As of March 2018 we announced the launch of our Pet Annual Wellness (PAW) Plans. Our plans were designed to provide a broad range of services during each stage of your pet’s life. Paw Plans help give your pet the best care at an affordable cost- plus you can spread the cost of care over time. Our goal here at Coronado Veterinary Hospital has always been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care. The Coronado Veterinary Hospital team displays an unrivaled commitment to our clients through continuing education, technological advances in veterinary medicine and service, and most importantly: administering compassionate care to all pets entrusted to us. We work hard to provide you with the best possible veterinary care at an affordable cost.
Since 1973, Coronado Veterinary Hospital has been providing services to the greater Sierra Vista Area. Dr. Gary Thrasher began CVH in 1973. Dr. Keith Sugaski joined him in 1977 and remained with CVH until 2010. Dr. Thomas Kroger joined CVH in 1980 and retired in late 2016. Since then, Dr. Lou Solonynka has stepped into the managing veterinarian role on site. We continue to strive to live up to the legacy left to us by Dr. Kroger.
Coronado Veterinary Hospital continues to grow as Sierra Vista has grown. We now have three full time veterinarians and one part time veterinarian on staff. We offer a variety of services including: a full on-site laboratory, digital x-ray, general surgery, orthopedics, digital ultrasound, acupuncture, holistic therapies, and dentals. We do not believe in making safety an option and therefore continue to practice high quality medicine and care for our patients during these procedures.
We are also excited to have two veterinarians that offer some exotic and pocket pet services. CVH is excited to see the growth of our hospital and how it's medicine and capabilities are expanding for our community.
At Coronado Veterinary Hospital, we are always glad to accept resumes from enthusiastic, hard-working, dependable, team oriented people who wish to join our team of veterinary health care professionals. Contact us to learn more today!
