Dr. Anderson moved to Arizona in the summer of 2019, one year after graduating from veterinary school from Washington State University (https://vetmed.wsu.edu/)and joining the United States Armed Forces (https://www.goarmy.com/careers-and-jobs/career-match/science-medicine/general-care/64a-field-veterinary-service.html). In the Army, she developed an interest in Veterinary Behavioral Medicine and Veterinary Sports Medicine through working closely with military working dog and equine athletes. She served on active duty in Sierra Vista for three years as the Officer in Charge of the Fort Huachuca Veterinary Treatment Facility and completed her military service in June of 2022. Dr. Anderson lives with seven pet animals and one human partner. She encourages her whole household to practice fear-free, force-free, consent based learning, and she brings this approach to her patients in the clinic setting. We are so excited to have her on the team!
Here is an article about Dr. Anderson, written by USU during her time there.
